Back Forty Bagel Barn is a local family owned and operated business bringing freshly wood- fired, hand crafted Bagels to our community.  Our foun der, Greg Merrill teamed up with his eldest daughter Kyra to bring their dream of operating a Bagel business to life!

Back Forty Bagel Barn is a local family-owned and operated business, bringing freshly wood-fired, handcrafted bagels to our community. Our founder, Greg Merrill, has teamed up with his eldest daughter Kyra, to bring their dream of operating a bagel business to life.

Greg is motivated by building-up communities, which takes many forms. He has spent thirty-five years building custom log and conventional homes to bring families together, and to provide for his own. Now he is bringing families and friends together at their tables with good food. 

His great passion for craftsmanship shines through in the lumber yard as well as in the kitchen. Greg never shies away from taking on the role of chef, and while dabbling in the restaurant business in his younger years, he discovered a love for bagels and the challenge of their unique creation process.
